Hello. My wife and I are looking for a winter home (3 BR/3 Baths + a den) in Naples/North Naples (between Pine Ridge & Bonita Beach Rd). We’ve found a number of homes we love, but in most cases the community (not the home) ends up being the questionable aspect. So we want to identify the communities first, then look for homes, etc. We’re both recently retired, looking for an active social community with golf as an option–we’ve read brochures & websites that suggest EVERY community is great. Is there a resource that can help us get beyond the “marketing” and help us understand more of the “personality” of the community/social scene so that we can identify the ones that would be a good match for us. Thank you,
Dawn & Jim
Vancouver WA
Hi Dawn & Jim:
There is no single resource one can turn to (other than your realtor) to understand the “personality” of the community social scene. Some things to look at are is there a clubhouse where residents can gather? Is there a social director and planned social events when people can meet, and activities which interest you to participate? Is there dining/bar within the community? Sports activities, beyond just working out, can also develop relationships.
Talking with residents can give you their viewpoint, and is possibly a most important input about a community personality. We may have customers who are still in the communities which interest you, and can put you in touch with them, and you can ask others while visiting. Hope this helps. Best, Steve
So cute, so excited and so happy to hear from you. I am planning to move to Naples, Florida.
Married, I have three daughters (8,6,and 4).We are from the Democratic Republic of CONGO-Africa and we currently live in New Jersey, small town called Denville having been in the United States for 5 years now.
Good article. Hopefully I can do business with you in 2015 in the fall. Looking for something fairly nice, pet accommodating , clean with 50000 down and small balance owing. Enjoy the website daily.
Hi Jim,
Thanks for reaching out. We can definitely help you find a nice condo that accepts pets. Let me know the size and breed of your pet and we can start looking.
Can you please put us on a search for a winter “home” in Naples and area close to that. We live in Missouri. Looking for something very affordable. 2-3 bedroom, 1 bath..small home, condo/townhome. Safe! Pets allowed..we have one dog. or even a nice mobile home park is great. (I am not a Realtor..I was years ago and kept this email) Again, affordable is key for we have a mortgage here as well. Thank you. Karen
Hi Karen,
Yes, we can do that for you. Ryan Ehmen in my office will contact you. Ryan is one of my best Realtors. If anyone can find you something affordable in Naples, he can.
